Are you a recent graduate or lab technician looking to make a meaningful impact in healthcare? We have a unique opportunity for you to join our Biosample Management department, where incoming samples are registered, accessioned, stored, retrieved, and shipped.
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring that patient samples are handled with care and precision - helping to ensure that results are accurately processed and returned, ultimately contributing to better patient outcomes worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve, store, and ship samples under appropriate conditions;
- Unpack, register, and review samples upon receipt;
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks;
- Document all actions in real time as per predefined procedures using a Laboratory Information System (LIS);
- Organize and prioritize workload to ensure optimal workflow;
- Perform administrative tasks and manage documentation;
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including regular disinfection of equipment and surfaces.
Education Requirements
- Secondary School Diploma required;
- A professional bachelor's degree or equivalent in a science-related field is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Background in logistics (e.g., shipments, couriers);
- Experience with sample registration;
- Prior experience in a laboratory or pathology environment;
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel.

- Fluent in Dutch; strong written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Quick learner with a proactive mindset;
- Team player with a collaborative attitude;
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances;
- Detail-oriented and capable of working independently when needed.

Working Agreement
- Contract type: Interim position;
- Work Schedule:
- 5-day workweek;
- Includes recurring Saturday and/or public holiday shifts as part of a shifted workweek;
- The frequency of these shifted days will be agreed upon after training;
- 7.6 working hours per day (excluding lunch break);
- Start time between 08:00 and 09:30, based on operational needs and individual arrangements.
