Summary

As a Laboratory Technician at CellCarta, you will assist the laboratory team with preparing and processing samples for our pre-clinical and clinical trials.

Responsibilities

• Assemble slides for staining and blocks for sectioning
• Labeling and QC slides
• Enter sectioning data into spreadsheets
• File slides and paperwork when complete
• Process Streck blood
• Deparaffinize and rehydrate unstained slides
• Perform hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining
• Clear and coverslip stained slides

Education

• Bachelors degree in Biology or a related science field

Requirements

• Practical and/or educational lab experience preferred
• High attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office programs

Working Conditions

• Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm (40 hours per week)
• Must accept to perform activities in a Biosafety Level (BSL) 1 or 2 laboratory where biological samples may be either naturally or experimentally infected with potentially hazardous viruses such as HIV, HCV, or CMV.
